Bajaj discontinued the CT 100 in 2006 due to some issues, marking the end of its first generation. This decision was likely driven by the need to address various problems and improve the model for future relaunch. I think this move was necessary to maintain the brands reputation and ensure customer satisfaction.

In 2006, the Bajaj CT 100 was competing directly with the Hero Honda Splendor, a popular commuter bike in India. The CT 100 featured a unique Ride Control Switch that helped in improving fuel efficiency by adjusting the throttle response. This feature was a standout in its segment. I believe this innovation was a significant factor in its initial success.

The first generation of the Bajaj CT 100, produced from 2004 to 2006, came with a 100cc engine and was available only with spoke wheels and a kickstart option. The bike was known for its fuel efficiency and simple design. I think the lack of an electric start was a minor drawback but didnt deter its popularity.

Before its discontinuation in 2006, the Bajaj CT 100 was available in six different graphic colors, appealing to a wide range of consumers. This variety helped in making the bike more attractive in the market. I believe the color options played a role in its appeal to younger riders.

The Bajaj CT 100, during its first generation, was praised for its robust build and reliable performance. It used a hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a trailing arm with co-axial hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a smooth ride. I think this suspension setup was one of its strong points.

In 2006, Bajaj Auto was facing some challenges that led to the temporary halt in production of the CT 100. This included compliance issues and market competition. The companys decision to discontinue the model was likely a strategic move to revamp and relaunch it later. I believe this pause allowed them to come back stronger.

The Bajaj CT 100s engine, during its first generation, was a 99.27cc, four-stroke, air-cooled unit that produced 8.1 bhp of power and 8.05 Nm of torque. This made it a reliable choice for daily commuting. I think the engines performance was well-suited for Indian road conditions.

Before its discontinuation, the Bajaj CT 100 was known for its impressive fuel efficiency, with a claimed mileage of up to 104 km/L. This was a significant selling point in the Indian market where fuel efficiency is highly valued. I believe this feature was a major reason for its popularity.

In the early 2000s, the Bajaj CT 100 was positioned as a commuter bike, replacing the Bajaj Boxer. It quickly gained traction due to its economical pricing and efficient performance. I think this positioning helped Bajaj capture a significant market share.

The first generation Bajaj CT 100 featured drum brakes at both the front and rear, which were adequate for its segment. The bike also had a simple yet effective design that appealed to many buyers. I believe the braking system was sufficient for its intended use.
