Bajaj Blade 125 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Scooter market in India has grown many folds since the iconic Bajaj Chetak has been discontinued by Bajaj Autos. The scooter maker has turned its image from an economy scooter manufacturer to a sport and performance bike maker in the last decade. Although Bajaj Autos has strictly opposed the fact of building a scooter for this growing industry, we have a glimpse of not to be launched product from Bajaj.
The product comes in the form of Blade, a 125 cc, 1-cylinder and air cooled scooter which is expected to produce 11.5 BHP. The surprising fact for the same is that the engine comes out to be a 4 valve DTS-i engine, which would feature first time in a scooter. The gearbox unit would stay 4-speed automatic. The scooter can be seen with a single front disc brake, making out a good choice when compared to the others.
The other features included front telescopic suspension, 12 inch tyres for the front and rear, attractive set of alloy wheels and first time in a scooter, a large 14 litre fuel tank. The mixture of normal and Italian scooter design can be clearly seen in the offering. The heavy 163 kg of kerb weight could be a matter of tension among many buyers, in case they plan a launch for the same.
The design of the scooter looks quiet satisfying and better in comparison to current scooters available in the market. The motorcycle inspired exhaust seems perfect to the scooter and the SNS suspension over the rear adds more to the attraction factor, providing much more comfort than other available suspensions in the market. The scooter could again be a revolution, unless priced very very competitively. The expected price of this product is INR 40,000 which would have definitely made it the first choice for the scooter lovers.
