Suzuki Slingshot Plus is here

Monday, November 29, 2010

Suzuki Motorcycles and Scooter India has launched a new bike which is based on Zeus 125. The new bike has been christened "SlingShot". It was previosly expected to be launched in July, 2010 but due to some reasons Suzuki delayed the launch of Slingshot and also requested all the website and blogs to remove all the pictures and details of Slingshot from their websites. The Suzuki Slingshot features a newly designed sturdy upswept frame construct with a longer swing arm coupled with a preload adjustable rear suspension and a race inspired light weight alloy, sharp edgy head lamps, an all new front fender design, convenient gear position indicator, BS carburettor with a Throttle Position Switch (TPS) and DC – CDI along with the Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system.

slingshot is a very good bike, with decent performance good look, nominal price with good build quality. the bike is underpowered. but for those of u complaining about mileage. there certain restriction on the initial 2000 km ride, for example riding below 45 and without pillion if possible. this things are there for a reason. there plenty of guys on internet, who are using these guidelines and getting the best out if there bike and an average mileage of 60 kmpl.

Suzuki Sling Shot is not at all good. I have purchased it 6 months back and had a very bad experience with it. It frequently stops and there are lot of other problems as well.

I am using Slingshot for abt 8 months ,,, Firsst the advantages are : 1 ) Very Smooth Riding with no vibration even at high speeds (70-80) & the bike can proceed up to 100km/hr 2)good seating arrangement & handlebar comfort for long drives which eliminates backpain completely 3)Ground Clearance too good incase of rainy times in city 4) Less Maintenance & body parts are of good Quality. Disadvantages : 1) Eventhough its a good engine it lacks pulling power mainly due to its self weight 2) Poor Braking incase of solo ride 3) Shock Absorber is very bad & its tiresome to drive in bad roads 4) Mileage nearing only 45km/litre in CIty but suprisingly 62km/hr in outside city. Overall i can comment its good to ride, But Suzuki have to reconsideer the Kerb Weight & Brakes & Shock Absorber to become a best 125cc Commutater,, Good Luck...
