BMW and TVS Join Hands
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS and world famous motorycle specialist BMW Motorrad has entered into an agreement to dive into the high volumes Indian market. For the past few years the German giant BMW is selling its high-end, large capacity motorbikes in India through a set of trustworthy Indian importers. BMW Motorrad is last of the big manufacturers to enter India to exploit the massive and important market here.
Before BMW big manufacturers such as KTM, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Triumph and every other major Japanese bike maker have already played their cards. Now the alliance with Indian partner TVS will provide all the ingredients for the grand success. The new alliance will build a new series of sub-500cc motorcycles and the first of that lot is expected to make its debut around 2015.
