I think it has a shot. The key to making it work will be to market it as a lifestyle choice, not just another motorcycle. If you make it Instagram worthy, they will come.

I believe it will attract riders, but not necessarily to the retro scene. It’s probably a gateway to naked bikes in general.

I believe it’s not fair to compare them with each other. The RD350 is the spirit that the XSR300 is trying to capture, not replicate. It's a modern interpretation for riders today with today's regulations.

You're all missing the point. An electric bike should be the real successor to the RD350. Instant torque, lightweight, and terrifying acceleration. That's the RD spirit.

I have ridden both, the XSR300 is fun but it is missing that special something which made the RD350 legendary. It's too refined, too predictable.

People shouldn't care if this bike leads to increased interest in genuine classic motorcycles. When the motorcycle helps bring new riders into the culture, it represents my approval.
