Yamaha R6 has 599cc liquid-cooled engine produced a peak of 120 horsepower and a top speed of 161.5 MPH, which was not only a significant increase over their '97 Thundercat's 97.21 horsepower/153.3 MPH top speed, but also demonstrated an improvement against other 600 class competitors.
