The Grand Vitara will shine in long term reliability. Maruti's engines are bulletproof and parts will be cheap and easily available. Premium soft touch materials are less important than that.

Safety fears are blown way out of proportion. Today’s sunroofs are made with safety in mind and actually add structural rigidity to the roof. Just wear your seatbelt and enjoy the open sky.

I'd skip the sunroof. It’s just another thing that can break and leak over time. Besides, it makes the vehicle top heavier and this influences handling.

It’s totally worth the sunroof! It gives the cabin a more spacious, more airy feel. I use mine all the time, especially on nice days. If you’re not an idiot, the safety risk is minimal.

I can speak from the experience of owning cars with and without sunroofs, and it’s not a must have. Sometimes it’s nice, but I don’t use it enough for it to really be worth the extra cost and potential problems.

The Grand Vitara’s panoramic sunroof is a gamechanger. It makes a huge difference to the entire driving experience for rear passengers. I think that any safety concerns are unnecessary in light of the benefits.

There is no doubt that full EVs are the future. The inevitable is just being delayed by the Grand Vitara's hybrid system. It’s better to go all in on electric now.

For cost over the long term, the hybrid wins. It's cheaper to start with, it doesn't give you range anxiety, and you're not dependent on charging infrastructure. And battery replacement will be cheaper than in a full EV.

Full EVs are better environmentally if you have access to clean electricity. For those who can’t go full electric yet, however, the Grand Vitara’s hybrid system is a great option.
