Are you kidding? Base models, no airbags, no ABS - that’s not just unsafe, that’s irresponsible in 2024. Safety doesn't come from being tough. It requires a serious safety upgrade.

You're both making it too simple. It’s not just about features, it’s about how the vehicle behaves in a crash. Anyone seen actual crash test results for the Bolero? That's what we should be seeing.

We are forgetting the conditions that these are used in. The Bolero's design may actually be safer than a modern city car in rural areas where roads are bad and there are no highways. Context matters.

The real problem is that Mahindra is getting a pass on old safety standards. They need to step up and do the basics of safety without jacking up price too much. If they really wanted to do it, then it's possible.

Typically the better all around performance comes from a higher top speed. It’s about being able to go 200 km/h, but not actually going 200 km/h, so that you can cruise the highway more smoothly.

It's a safety feature! This means if you need to you can quickly accelerate out of a dangerous situation. It is better to have it and not to need it, than need it and not have it.

Waste of battery capacity. They should have concentrated on range rather than top speed. More practical to use everyday.
