Is the Scorpio Classic still the classic in the age of modern crossovers?
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is a more traditional SUV with its body on frame and rugged character. But the car market has been trending towards more car like crossovers with better on road comfort and fuel efficiency. These modern trends are a far cry from what the Scorpio Classic is all about: durability and off road capability. A few say Scorpio classics have become vestiges in such urban spaces where SUVs live most of their lives. But others say there’s still a place for robust, capable SUVs that can handle tough conditions. The Scorpio continues to sell and has many loyal fans, but it’s not clear that this can last forever. Is the Scorpio Classic a dinosaur in a market that is changing rapidly, or does it fit a gap that modern crossovers can’t fill?
The Scorpio Classic is still very relevant. Not everyone wants a softroader that can’t handle a bit of rough stuff. Proper, tough SUVs still sell, especially away from big cities.
