Does the Scorpio Classic deserve its price tag?

Owners and reviewers have had a discussion when it comes to the interior quality of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic. Mahindra has done some work on the cabin but many feel that the changes don’t justify buying the vehicle. Though the interior is spacious and plenty comfortable for those who need it, they also use hard plastics and the fit and finish is a decided step down from little brother, the CX3. Much of the previous generation's interior design remains, and, while it's not as dated as some rivals, some may find it dated. Points of contention so far also include the basic infotainment system and lack of certain amenities (or features), such as auto-folding mirrors. Since the Scorpio Classic is being positioned as a rugged, practical SUV, opinions are divided on whether the interior should be more durable or more luxurious, or whether Mahindra should have tried to make it feel more premium for the price tag.

For the task of a tough, no nonsense SUV I think the interior is fine. It’s not luxury car plush, but it feels durable and easy to clean. Soft touch plastics that'll wear out quickly are less important to me than that.
