Does the F250 2 channel ABS make a difference over single channel systems?

The dual channel system is definitely more confidence inspiring. I don’t have to worry about locking up either wheel, so I can brake harder. On long rides fatigue may affect your braking finesse and it’s particularly nice.

I turned off the rear ABS on my F250. In corners I prefer to have some rear wheel slide for extra control. Although the front ABS is nice to have.
Does the F250 2 channel ABS make a difference over single channel systems?

If you are not coming from an ABS bike, then the difference is night and day. It's amazing being able to brake hard without fear of lowsiding. I believe dual channel should be standard on all bikes.

I think it is overkill for a 250cc bike. That extra cost could have gone to a slipper clutch or better suspension. The class of motorcycle is more than enough for single channel ABS.
So is the Pulsar F250 really worth paying a premium over the N250 for, or are you simply paying for looks?

As a rider of both, I can tell you that the F250 is worth it. On long rides, the fairing does make a difference, and it just feels more substantial. Plus, it turns more heads!
So is the Pulsar F250 really worth paying a premium over the N250 for, or are you simply paying for looks?

I actually wish I had not saved the money and gone for the N250. Wind protection difference is minimal, and performance is identical. You're basically paying for looks.
So is the Pulsar F250 really worth paying a premium over the N250 for, or are you simply paying for looks?

It depends on your priorities. The F250's fairing makes highway riding less tiring if that's what you do. If you commute in the city, the N250 is probably the smart choice. Consider how you’ll be using the bike the most.

Don't underestimate the psychological factor. If you feel good every time you walk up to your bike because the F250's looks are that good, that's worth something. And motorcycling is an emotional experience.
So is the Pulsar F250 really worth paying a premium over the N250 for, or are you simply paying for looks?

For touring potential, I went with the F250. The taller windscreen and a bit of luggage turns it into a great little tourer. The N250 doesn't offer that versatility.

And let's be real, most people buy the F250 because of the looks. And that’s okay! If you can afford it, and you love the sportier style, go for it. You won't be getting a wildly different riding experience, though.

When you think about long term ownership, I believe the price difference is justified. The bit more presence on the road and the F250 will likely hold its value better. It's an investment in enjoyment.
Does the Pulsar F250's fairing really do anything to help protect from wind?
30 January 2025 08:19
I can say that the fairing helps, I've done a few 300km+ rides on the F250. Not sportbike level protection, but it helps take the edge off of the wind blast, particularly on the chest and shoulders.
Does the Pulsar F250's fairing really do anything to help protect from wind?
30 January 2025 08:19
I honestly think it's more for looks than function. I've ridden the F250 and N250 and the difference in wind protection is minimal at best. If that’s your only concern, save your money and go for the N250.

It depends on your height. I'm 5'10" and the fairing is great for me. My shorter friend tells me it doesn't do much for him. It's not one-size-fits-all.
Does the Pulsar F250's fairing really do anything to help protect from wind?
30 January 2025 08:19
The fairing does help, but not in the way you would think. It's not about wind protection as much as it is about lessening turbulence. On long trips, the ride feels smoother, and less tiring.

Let's be honest, this isn't the bike to get serious wind protection. The F250’s fairing is a bit of a compromise between looks and function. It does help a little but you won't get tour bike comfort.

I put a slightly taller windscreen on my F250 and now the wind protection is great. It's not bad stock setup, but you can mod it up a bit.

I commute daily on an F250, and while I like the fairing for keeping the bugs and road debris off my chest more than for wind protection. Little things really do count!
Have they told you that you will be able to ride the Pulsar F250 all day?
30 January 2025 08:19
I did a 600km day trip on my F250 and I was shocked at how comfortable it was. The seat is very well padded and the riding position is pretty relaxed. It's not a Gold Wing, but it works.

Comfortable for long rides? Maybe if you're in your 20s. After about 2 hours my back starts to ache and the seat feels like a plank. For short trips it's fine, but it's not a tourer.
