It's a mixed bag. Overall the fit and finish are definitely better than older Pulsars but I have seen some inconsistencies between bikes at the showroom. It looks like QC is still a hit or miss.

I can say as a mechanic, the F250's build quality is a step up. It's better components, and more precise assembly. We will see, how it will stand the hard riding for a year or two.
Is Bajaj finally getting their quality control act together with the Pulsar F250?

People are too hard on Bajaj, I think. Every manufacturer has issues. For 10,000 km my F250 has been trouble free. It's not perfect, but it's not the horror stories people like to tell.

It’s better quality, but it’s not up to the level of the Japanese bikes. Having said that, I think the F250 represents good value for the price point. So just be prepared to baby it a little more than you would a Honda or Yamaha.
Is Bajaj finally getting their quality control act together with the Pulsar F250?

The improvement in quality is night and day from coming from a Pulsar 220F. Is it perfect? No. It’s a big step forward for Bajaj, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. Give credit where it's due.
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?
30 January 2025 08:19
I owned a 220F for years and can say the F250 definitely captures that spirit. It's spot on for touring and the fairing design provides you with that sporty feel. Yeah it's more refined, which isn't a bad thing.
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?

No way, man. When I listened I could really hear that raw, punchy character the F250 just doesn't have. The new bike is too sanitized, and it doesn’t have that special something that made the 220F a legend.
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?
30 January 2025 08:19
I believe we are looking at this in the wrong way. The F250 is not a carbon copy of the 220F. It's an evolution. A better tech, smoother engine, and still great for touring. They’re not trying to be the same, they’re carrying the torch forward.
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?

I was never a newbie rider and never got to see the 220F in its prime. I've heard though that the F250 has a similar experience with modern amenities. Isn’t that what we want in a successor?
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?
30 January 2025 08:19
It’s the long haul of ownership that’s the real test. The 220F was a reliable, easy to maintain engine. If the F250 can do that and do it better, then in my book it’s a worthy successor.
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?

We all know, nothing will ever replace the 220F in our hearts. However the F250 is a good bike in its own right. You have to judge it on its own merits, not as a comparison.
Is the Pulsar F250, in fact, the spiritual successor to the legendary Pulsar 220F?
30 January 2025 08:19
I’ve ridden both and the F250 is objectively better in many ways, but it doesn’t have that X factor the 220F had. The bike is a good one, but it’s no legend like the previous bike.
