The styling is clever marketing. That will lure in young buyers who want something different from the usual 125cc commuters but don't want to pay ADV prices.

I am scared it will look like a confused mess. Jack of all trades, master of none kind of situation.

Styling is secondary as long as it’s comfortable and practical. However, I believe Bajaj have got the look right for their target market.
Can the Pulsar Adventure do the same for the Indian market?

I feel there is definitely a market for this. There are lots of people who want something more exciting than a basic commuter, but they’re intimidated by bigger ADVs.

It's a risky move. Indian buyers are pretty conservative. Maybe they’d rather play it safe and stick to what they know than gamble on an idea they know nothing about.

You’re both missing the possibilities. This could be perfect for city use if you need something tough but can’t afford a bigger bike.

I'm skeptical. It could be a jack of all trades, master of none. It’s neither rugged enough for real ADV use, nor efficient enough for pure commuting.

Bajaj knows how to create new segments. Do you remember how the original Pulsar changed the game? It could do the same for entry level ADVs.

It all comes down to pricing. It could be a huge hit if they can keep it close to regular 125cc bikes.

I think it's clever. This gives Bajaj a unique offering in its lineup, which Honda, TVS and Hero don't have.
How does the Pulsar Adventure stack up against regular 125cc bikes?
30 January 2025 08:13
I’m sure it’ll be slower than normal 125cc bikes. That tiny engine is going to struggle with all that extra ADV stuff and it's going to add weight.

I think it'll surprise people. The weight may be compensated for by Bajaj tuning the engine differently. That could end up being more torquier than we expect.

Most 125cc riders aren’t speed demons anyway, let’s be real. It will be fine as long as it can keep up with the traffic and do a little bit of off roading.

I’m hoping Bajaj will get the gearing right. It may be slower on the top end, but it’ll have better low end grunt for city riding.

Bajaj, I think, has made a smart move. This might not be a hardcore off roader for everyone, but perhaps city dwellers looking for something a little more rugged for the weekend getaways.

It's a bit of a stretch to call it an 'adventure' bike with 17 inch alloys. It's more like a Pulsar with a few ADV inspired styling cues. It'll probably not be any good off road.
