Tata Manza Aqua Diesel

About
The Tata Manza Aqua Diesel is a sedan that was part of Tatas lineup from 2011 to 2015. It is powered by a 1.3-liter Quadrajet diesel engine, which produces 90 PS at 4000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque between 1750-3000 RPM. This engine, though prone to turbo lag, provides good power once the revs are up. The car features a Drive-By-Wire system and a critical rev limiter, adding to its refinement. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with features like dual-tone fabrics, ample storage space, and a well-lit glove box. The ride quality is smooth, and the car handles well, especially at higher speeds. However, the exterior design is somewhat average, and some owners have reported issues with engine reliability. Overall, the Manza Aqua Diesel is a solid choice for those seeking a comfortable, fuel-efficient sedan, but it may require careful consideration of its long-term maintenance costs.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Manza Aqua Diesel is a mixed bag, offering several compelling features but also some notable drawbacks. On the positive side, it boasts a comfortable and spacious interior, with high-quality plastics and a well-designed dashboard that enhances the driving experience. The ride quality is generally smooth, and the car handles well, especially above 1800 RPM where the 1.3 Quadrajet engine comes into its own. However, the engine suffers from significant turbo lag below 1500 RPM, which can be frustrating in urban driving or when climbing steep inclines. Additionally, some owners have reported issues with engine reliability and higher maintenance costs. Overall, while the Manza Aqua Diesel is a solid choice for those prioritizing comfort and fuel economy, it may not be the best option for those seeking robust engine performance or long-term reliability.
Price
When the Tata Manza Aqua Diesel was available in the market, its ex-showroom price in India ranged from approximately 6.5 lakh to 8.5 lakh, depending on the variant. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, would have been around 7.5 lakh to 10 lakh. While these prices are no longer applicable since the model is no longer in production, they give an idea of its value proposition at the time. For those considering a pre-owned model, prices can vary widely based on the cars condition, mileage, and location, but you can expect to pay between 3 lakh to 6 lakh.
Mileage
Friday, 22 November 2024 04:47 AM The Tata Manza Aqua Diesel offers respectable fuel economy, which is a significant factor for many Indian buyers. In city driving, it can deliver around 13-14 kmpl, while on highways, the mileage can increase to 21-23 kmpl. This makes it a good choice for those looking to balance performance with fuel efficiency. However, actual mileage can vary based on driving conditions and maintenance of the vehicle.
