Our take on this /// Verdict
The Nissan Micra Diesel XV Premium is a solid choice for those seeking a fuel-efficient and nimble car, especially for city driving and occasional highway runs. The diesel engine, with its 1461 cc capacity, delivers impressive performance with minimal turbo lag, making it highly drivable. However, it does come with some drawbacks, such as the noticeable diesel clatter and a clunky gear shifter. The XV Premium variant offers a good balance of features, including alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rear defogger, and leather wraps on the steering and gear lever, although it lacks crucial safety features like passenger airbags and ABS. Overall, its a good option for those prioritizing fuel efficiency and convenience, but safety-conscious buyers might want to look elsewhere.
Price
The Nissan Micra Diesel XV Premium was priced competitively in the Indian market during its time. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around Rs. 6.95 lakhs in cities like Chennai. When considering on-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the total would have been closer to Rs. 8-9 lakhs, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positioned the Micra XV Premium as a mid-range option, offering a blend of features and performance at a reasonable cost. However, since the model has been discontinued, buyers would now need to consider used car options or alternative models in the same segment.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 12:23 PM
The Nissan Micra Diesel XV Premium boasts an impressive mileage of 23.08 kmpl, as per ARAI certifications. This makes it an attractive choice for those concerned about fuel efficiency and running costs. In real-world conditions, the mileage can vary, but it generally stays close to the certified figure, especially when driven under moderate conditions. This fuel efficiency is a significant advantage, particularly for those who plan to use the car for both city and highway driving.

Nissan Micra Diesel XV Premium Discussion
Multi-jet diesel engines are best than this diesel engine. I didn't
expected Nissan would offer such an engine to Indian market i.e see guys
its a Fixed Geometry Turbo[FGT] 4 cylinder- 2 valve engine i.e 8 valve
Sohc[Single Camshaft]; they are offering us low performance engine &
with this low performance engine Nissan was able to achieve fuel
efficiency of 23.08km/l & multi-jets are Variable Geometry
Engine[VGT] 4 cylinder- 4 Valve engine i.e 16 valve Dohc[Double
Camshaft]; and Fiat are offering Indian masses with high Performance
engine without compromising on fuel-efficency i.e 20km/l. We feel that
fiat is not a Good Company, they create Cheap products & If that was
so then why are the Maruti's & Tata's using their Engines? We need
to think about this Guys. We often go behind the Big Brand names &
fail to consider what they are offering us and we think its a Big Brand
& that's it & rest everything is carelessly neglected due to Big
Brand Tag.
