The e2oPlus P8 from Mahindra is a great option for those who don't need to travel too far on a single charge. It can go up to 140km in a single charge, which is more than enough for most day-to-day commutes in smaller cities. It takes around 9 hours to charge the battery through regular charging, and close to 2 hours through fast charging. For larger cities and longer commutes, the range of the e2oPlus is manageable, although you'll need to top up the battery with quick charging. However, the e2oPlus is not suitable for intercity or highway travel.

Mahindra Electric e20 Plus is a unique segment electric hatchback coming from Mahindra. The model is touted as India's first Electric Van which is priced at INR 5,46,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The car is a fully electric powered type vehicle which runs at a maximum power of 19KW @ 3500 rpm and gives out a torque of 70 Nm @ 1050 rpm. The car has a boot space of 135 litres and has a ground clearance of 170 mm. This car will be placed at other small cars in the segment like Hyundai i10 and Maruti K10 but the electric car segment is yet to prove its feasibility in the Indian market.
