The Jaguar XE Pure petrol is a sleek and powerful luxury sedan that stands out in its segment. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 250PS and 365Nm of torque, this car is a delight to drive, especially in its Sport mode. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and features rear-wheel drive, which enhances its handling and stability. Our take on this /// Verdict
The Jaguar XE Pure petrol variant is a compelling choice for those seeking a luxury sedan that combines sleek design, robust performance, and exceptional handling. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient option in its class, the XE makes up for this with its exhilarating driving experience. The 2.0-litre petrol engine, producing 250PS and 365Nm of torque, is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers smooth and rapid gear shifts. The rear-wheel drive configuration and well-tuned suspension make it a joy to drive, especially in Sport mode. However, the fuel efficiency, which I observed to be around 10-12 kmpl in real-world conditions, might be a consideration for some buyers. Overall, the XE Pure petrol is ideal for those who prioritize driving dynamics and luxury over fuel economy.
Price
The Jaguar XE Pure petrol variant is priced at around Rs 46.64 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. When you factor in the on-road costs, including taxes and other charges, the price can escalate to approximately Rs 53-55 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. While this is certainly on the higher side, the premium pricing reflects the cars luxurious features, advanced technology, and the brands reputation for quality and performance. For those who value exclusivity and a superior driving experience, the XE Pure petrol is worth the investment.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 05 September 2024 11:57 AM
The Jaguar XE in India is priced between Rs. 46.64 lakh and Rs. 48.50 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a competitive option in the luxury sedan segment. The car is known for its rear-wheel drive configuration and an 8-speed automatic transmission. I believe the pricing and features make it a compelling choice for those looking for a British-built, combustion-engined saloon.

Jaguar has announced that the XE will be discontinued by 2025 as part of its transition to an all-electric brand. This marks the end of an era for the combustion-engine XE, which has been a staple in Jaguars lineup since its launch in 2015. I think this move is a significant step towards sustainability, but its also a bit sad to see the end of such a iconic model.

The Jaguar XE, particularly the petrol variant, has seen a significant update in its features and technology. The 2020 update included front and rear styling tweaks, a larger front grille, and a redesigned rear diffuser. It also came with standard leather seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and LED headlights. I think these updates make the XE a more competitive option in the luxury sedan market.

The Jaguar XE has received praise for its handling and ride quality, with an adaptive suspension and electric power steering that provides excellent feedback. However, it lags behind competitors like the BMW 330i in terms of performance and fuel efficiency. I think the XEs strengths in handling and comfort make it a great option for those who prioritize driving dynamics.

In India, the Jaguar XE petrol is available in two trims: S and SE, both powered by a 2.0-litre engine producing 250PS and 365Nm. The car features a range of amenities including dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. I believe the combination of performance and luxury features makes it an attractive choice for executive saloon buyers.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 12:06 PM
The mileage of the Jaguar XE Pure petrol variant is a critical factor for potential buyers. In real-world driving conditions in India, you can expect an average fuel efficiency of around 10-12 kmpl. This is relatively lower compared to some of its diesel counterparts or more fuel-efficient rivals. However, if you are willing to compromise on fuel economy for the sake of performance and luxury, the XE Pure petrol still offers a compelling package.
