Honda Vezel Diesel

About
The Honda Vezel Diesel is a compact SUV that stands out for its blend of performance and comfort. Powered by a 1.5-liter i-DTEC Diesel Engine, it offers 98.6 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, paired with a manual transmission. The vehicle features a DOHC valve configuration and a turbocharger, enhancing its performance. It comes with a 45-liter fuel tank and complies with BS VI emission norms. The Vezel has a seating capacity of five, with comfortable seating and ample legroom, although the interior design is somewhat basic. USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda Vezel Diesel is a vehicle that offers a mix of comfort, performance, and practicality, but it also comes with some notable drawbacks. On the positive side, it boasts a reliable i-DTEC Diesel Engine, producing 98.6 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, which is quite impressive for its segment. The car is known for its comfortable seating and spacious interior, although some users have noted that the interior design is somewhat basic and not as inspiring as one might expect at its price point. Additionally, the trunk space is not the best in its class, which could be a concern for those needing ample cargo room. However, Hondas reputation for reliability is a significant selling point, making the Vezel a solid choice for those prioritizing durability and fuel efficiency.
Price
The Honda Vezel Diesel, if it were to be launched in India, would likely be priced around Rs. 10 lakh ex-showroom. When considering on-road prices, this figure could rise to approximately Rs. 12-13 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positions the Vezel competitively within the compact SUV segment, where it would face competition from models like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. While the price is reasonable for the features and performance it offers, potential buyers should weigh the costs against the vehicles limitations, such as the basic interior and limited trunk space.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 03:02 AM As of the latest updates, there is no indication that Honda plans to introduce a diesel variant of the Vezel. The recent facelift and feature updates have all been centered around petrol and hybrid models. I believe this is a clear indication of Hondas current product strategy.
Friday, 01 November 2024 04:17 PM In India, there is a strong preference for diesel engines in certain segments, but Hondas Vezel does not cater to this demand. Instead, it focuses on petrol and hybrid options. I think Honda should consider local market preferences to increase the Vezels appeal in India.
Tuesday, 01 October 2024 06:29 AM Hondas global strategy seems to be shifting more towards hybrid and electric vehicles, which might explain the absence of a diesel variant for the Vezel. This trend is consistent across many markets, including India, where hybrid and electric vehicles are gaining traction. I believe this is a positive move towards sustainability.
Thursday, 12 September 2024 06:58 AM The 2025 Honda Vezel Comfort Edition, though not specific to India, features advanced tech upgrades like a new 10.1-inch central control LCD screen and smart entry systems. However, these upgrades are for the petrol and hybrid versions only. I think these tech features are great, but a diesel option would still be a good addition.
Saturday, 10 August 2024 12:41 PM Given the lack of any official announcements or updates, it is clear that the Honda Vezel will not be available with a diesel engine in the Indian market. This aligns with Hondas current product strategy but may limit its appeal to some buyers. I believe Honda should consider the local market preferences more closely.
Monday, 15 July 2024 08:42 AM There is no market speculation or rumors about Honda planning to release a diesel variant of the Vezel. The focus seems to be entirely on petrol and hybrid models. I think this is consistent with Hondas global strategy, but it might disappoint some potential buyers in India who prefer diesel.
Saturday, 01 June 2024 08:39 AM Honda has introduced new color options and styling packages for the Vezel, such as the Botanical Green Pearl and the HuNT Package. However, these updates do not include any information about a diesel engine. The new colors and packages are a nice touch, but a diesel option remains absent.
Monday, 20 May 2024 10:52 AM The 2024 Vezels e:HEV hybrid system has been refined for a smoother and quieter driving experience. This update highlights Hondas commitment to hybrid technology but does not indicate any plans for a diesel variant. I believe the hybrid system is a great step forward, but some buyers might still prefer diesel.
Wednesday, 20 March 2024 06:26 PM Honda has upgraded the Vezel with new safety features, including Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Driving Beam, and Sudden Acceleration Suppression. However, these enhancements do not include the introduction of a diesel engine. Safety is a top priority, and these features are welcome, but a diesel option would have been nice.
Thursday, 14 March 2024 03:34 AM Honda has unveiled the 2024 Vezel with updates, but there is no mention of a diesel variant. The available options include a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine and a 1.5-liter e:HEV hybrid. This suggests that diesel is not part of the current lineup. I think this is a missed opportunity, given the popularity of diesel engines in some markets.
Thursday, 14 March 2024 06:29 PM The 2024 Honda Vezel features a revised front grille, front bumper, and LED taillights. Additionally, new packages like the HuNT and PLaY packages have been introduced, but none of these updates include a diesel engine option. The focus remains on petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 04:53 PM The Honda Vezel Diesel is expected to deliver impressive fuel economy, which is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers. With its efficient i-DTEC engine, you can anticipate mileage figures in the range of 18-22 kmpl, depending on driving conditions. This makes the Vezel an attractive option for those concerned about running costs and fuel efficiency, especially for daily commuters or long-distance drivers.

SUV market in India is wide open. Everybody now days look for an SUV. I feel Amaze is a success story for them launching their 1st diesel in India. But the missing of automatic climate control may have give them more boost. I firmly believe Honda will take this one too on the note. Let's see....
