Ford EcoSport is a mini SUV that was launched by Ford in Brazil in 2003. The second generation EcoSport concept was unveiled in India at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. Ford India has invested 142 million dollars at its Chennai plant so as to manufacture the EcoSport. It will also be exported to 40 countries from its Chennai plant.

This SUV measures 3999mm in length, 1765mm in width, 1708mm in height with ground clearance of 200mm and wheelbase of 2520mm. It offers a huge boot space of 346 litres that is expandable up to 705liters. The electric power-assisted steering with pull drift compensation technology provides minimum turning radius of 5.3 metres. The brakes of EcoSport are ventilated disc in front tyres and drum brakes in the rear tyres.
The Ford EcoSport is available in three engine options as 1.5-liter petrol engine, 1.0-liter petrol engine and 1.5-liter diesel engine. User Reviews for Ford EcoSport (2016)
Dynamic Design with Superb Electronics
I personally like my car from the core of my heart. I bought it from Chandigarh after a long waiting period of 10 months, yeah after the launch, waiting period was too long. I fall in for this SUV the day it got announced so long waiting period never changed my mind. It is indeed a very attractive car with sharp edged headlamps, hexagonal chromed grill and 16-inch alloy wheels. My friends and family was also amazed to see it. The most amazing feature of this SUV is its emergency assistance. Coming to the interior, it has cushioned seats and driver's seat supports four-way adjustment. Overall, the interior is luxurious and comfortable. I have done many long tours on it in a comfy manner. Heading to boot space, it has 346 litres capacity which is less than duster but it is sufficient for huge storage. In my journey to Kashmir the boot space felt less as the luggage for five friends didn't fit the boot. We stuffed the boot to extent that it refused to open. That was the only issue I faced with EcoSport.
Best Features: Appearance and Luxury Seats
Pros: Looks, Ride, Seats, Comfort, Mileage, Large Boot
Cons: Nothing
A Fully Loaded Compact SUV
The build quality is really good. Doors are heavy and need effort to shut. The interior quality is acceptable but in comparison to fiesta some plastics are compromised on their quality. They appear to be more shiny in this SUV. The seats are comfortable and you can easily long tours without any hassle. EcoSport, with the stunning as well as futuristic design is surely a head turner. The company has done no compromise with the quality and comfort factor in the SUV. Even in the base model you will get everything which you desire in your dream car. Braking is quick and clutch is super smooth. Gear box is easy to handle with short shifts, the knob is a little big but that is something which we can live with. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder, direct-injection turbo EcoBoost really does deserve the title of International Engine of the Year.
Best Features: Fuel Efficient
Pros: Build quality, smooth engine, low maintenance, attractive design, comfortable, fuel efficient, value for money
Cons: No Flaws and Drawbacks
