What is the performance of Ashok Leyland Dost Strong in hilly or mountainous terrain?
03 February 2025 10:55
It is not honestly built for serious mountain driving. But it gets you there, not in any way that is enjoyable. However, if you use your car frequently in hilly areas, this may not be the option for you.
How does the Ashok Leyland Dost Strong fare in overloading compared to other competitors?
03 February 2025 10:55
I believe it’s probably one of the better choices for dealing with the overloads on occasion. As always, don’t make that a habit or the mechanic will be the business end of your visit, far more often than you’d like.
How comfortable is the cabin of the Ashok Leyland Dost Strong? Is that as car like as they said they are?
03 February 2025 10:55
Appreciate the effort but calling it car like is pushing it a bit. While it’s certainly more comfortable than most competitors, we should not forget that it’s built for work, and not leisure.

Absolutely! For more than 3 years now, I have been driving a Dost Strong for my small logistics business and it has been a beast. There wasn't any overloading handling problems that I saw, and I didn't see it let me down on rough roads.

Compared to long term costs and environmental impacts of electric alternatives, how does the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LX?
31 January 2025 10:07
I'm conflicted. The influx of these vehicles has really saturated the market, which is great for deliveries. As customers demand lower prices for what they have read are our 'efficient ' vehicles, earnings per delivery have gone down.
How much can the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LX be customised for specific business requirements?
31 January 2025 10:07
Turned it into a mobile clothing store. Racks are displayed by the side panels opening up. For festivals it has been great, but I had to add extra security features, which was a bit of a hassle.
Is the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LX really the one for small business owners?
31 January 2025 10:07
Absolutely! I started using the Dost Lite LX for about 6 months now and it has changed my small courier game for the better. The fuel efficiency is no laughing matter, and I'm happily saving tons of money at the gas pump when compared to my previous car.
So, is the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LS really all that it is made out to be for small business owners?
31 January 2025 10:01
It's decent, but not exceptional. The fact that there is no power steering in the base model is a real pain on winding roads when you’re constantly turning. If you do a lot of hill driving you would definitely go for the higher variant.
In relation to other mini trucks, what the cabin comfort of the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LE like in long hauls?
31 January 2025 09:42
I’ve done a couple of 6-7 hr trips in my Dost Lite LE and it turns out to be a surprisingly comfortable trip. Support from the seats is acceptable and the driving position is acceptable. Way better than my old Tata Ace for sure.
What is the fuel consumption of the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LE in real conditions?
31 January 2025 09:42
The Dost Lite LE is great for a florist because it is so adaptable. They are perfect for our mobile flower shop and we installed some simple shelving units and a small water tank. In fact, having the compact size is actually good for us when setting up at markets and events.
The question is whether the Ashok Leyland Dost Lite LE is really worth the hype for small business owners.
31 January 2025 09:42
My courier service has found it to be a lifesaver. It has a very short turning radius allowing us to travel narrow lanes safe and efficiently, and fuel efficiency which keeps our operating costs to a minimum. Certainly a great idea for urban deliveries.
What are the long term costs as well as environmental impact of Ashok Leyland Dost CNG LS vs electric?
31 January 2025 08:08
From an environmental point of view, I feel much happier with my Dost CNG LS than with my old diesel vehicle. The idea of going fully electric is appealing though. I am just waiting for the right electric model that matches my business needs.
The Ashok Leyland Dost CNG LS is touted to be the best for small business owners.
31 January 2025 08:08
I’ve driven through some pretty nasty monsoon conditions and the Dost CNG LS has held its ground. The only problem I have encountered is water splashing from trucks in front onto the windshield so the wipers sometimes can't keep up.
Against what electric alternatives is the Ashok Leyland Dost CNG LE competing in urban deliveries?
31 January 2025 08:00
I disagree. Urban deliveries are electric, that is the way forward. The Dost CNG LE is simply postponing the day when it will have to make way for the inevitable. You are planning for zero emission zones in cities, and CNG is not going to make it in the long run.
BILLS: Dost CNG LE is Ashok Leyland’s truck for small businesses. Is it a game changer?
31 January 2025 08:00
As an automotive lover I am enthusiastic regarding Dost CNG LE, not for its capacity to transform the game, but for the manner in which it is pushing the limits of what is possible in a small commercial vehicle. Other manufacturers are sitting up and taking notice of it.
