The new models were speculated to be based on BMWs next-gen CLAR platform, supporting various powertrains. However, BMW clarified that there are no current plans to reintroduce the 6-series for the 2026 model year. I think this denial might be a strategic move to keep the market guessing.

In 2023, a heavily modified 2017 BMW M6 Gran Coupe was up for auction, attracting significant attention among BMW enthusiasts.
