Thursday, 02 May 2024 12:43 AM Aston Martin has unveiled a new V12 engine that will feature in its exclusive and limited availability models, including potential future iterations of the Rapide. This engine produces 835PS and 1000Nm of torque, showcasing exceptional performance and efficiency. I believe this new engine will significantly enhance the driving experience of Aston Martins luxury cars.
Monday, 19 June 2023 11:30 PM Despite rumors of a new sedan, Aston Martin has confirmed that it has no plans to resurrect the Rapide or introduce any new sedan into its lineup. The company is focusing on other models and its first electric vehicle, set to launch in 2026. I think this shift reflects the current market trends favoring crossovers and electric vehicles.
Monday, 06 March 2023 11:24 PM The Aston Martin Rapide AMR is a high-performance variant of the Rapide, featuring a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 603PS and 630Nm of torque. It also includes a new quad exhaust system and 21-inch wheels with ultra-high performance Michelin Super Sport tires. This setup allows the car to go from 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds.
Monday, 06 March 2023 06:34 PM The Rapide AMR boasts a distinctive design with a large and aggressive front grille, reminiscent of the Vantage AMR Pro, and circular daytime running lights similar to the Zagato models. It is available in three design schemes: Standard, Silhouette, and Signature. I think the Signature scheme, with its Stirling Green paint and Lime accents, is particularly striking.
Tuesday, 07 March 2023 12:54 AM The interior of the Rapide AMR is equally impressive, with AMR Lime or Galena Silver welting and stitching, a full-length carbon fibre centre console, and seats trimmed in Alcantara. Each car also features discrete AMR logos and a limited-edition AMR inspection plaque.
Monday, 06 March 2023 07:14 AM The Rapide AMR has undergone significant suspension upgrades, riding 10mm lower than the Rapide S and featuring reengineered three-stage adaptive dampers. This work was completed at the AMR Performance Centre at the Nürburgring, enhancing the cars agility and dynamics.
Monday, 06 March 2023 05:32 PM The Aston Martin Rapide marked the companys return to the sedan segment after the discontinuation of the Lagonda in 1989. The Rapide seamlessly integrates its four doors into a sleek design, maintaining the cars streamlined appearance.
Monday, 06 March 2023 07:01 PM The standard Rapide model is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, producing 470 horsepower and substantial torque, ensuring smooth acceleration. This engine is also found in the DB9 and is paired with a seamless six-speed gearbox.
Monday, 06 March 2023 10:15 AM The Rapide AMR is priced at around US$240,000, excluding taxes, options, and other fees. This makes it a premium offering in the luxury sports car market. I believe the price reflects the cars exceptional performance and luxurious features.
Monday, 06 March 2023 07:27 PM The Rapides design includes unique door openings that prevent paint damage, and the interior features high-quality materials such as wood, leather, and aluminum. The car also boasts a bonded aluminum chassis for excellent stiffness and precise steering.
