EICMA 2019 witnessed a host of premium motorcycle launches while the launch of Aston Martin AMB 001, the debut motorcycle from the brand has surpassed them all. The brand will be manufacturing only 100 units of its first-ever motorcycle, which has been specifically designed in collaboration with Brough Superior motorcycles. Article image Commenting on the launch of the premium sports bike, the official stated - “This is what we believe a cutting-edge motorcycle should be and we are very proud to see the Aston Martin wings on a motorcycle for the first time. In addition to applying the skills, we have developed for cars such as the groundbreaking Aston Martin Valkyrie we have also been able to bring our special expertise in the traditional craft techniques to this project. The finished product is a truly beautiful motorcycle; a design and engineering work of art.” Article image The retro-futuristic design offered to the motorcycle has officially redefined the “unique outlook”. The motorcycle has been equipped with a double-wishbone front fork while featuring an ocean blue colour shade with tons of carbon fibre detailing that shrieks of modern perfection. The fin-inspired design borrowed from the premium Aston martin cars flows all the way from the fuel tank to the rear of the motorcycle. The single-seat design with yellow Oxford tan leather further sets it apart from any conventional rider seat. Article image Taking inspiration from the Aston Martin Valkyrie hybrid sports car, the AMB 001 sports bike features the same stainless steel wings under the front profile. Another set of aerodynamic wings further offered to the motorcycle just below the cowl integrates with the S-curve and imparts additional downforce. Powering the Aston Martin AMB 001 is a 997cc, 8-Valve, 88-degree, V-twin, turbo supercharged engine borrowed from the Brough Superior motorcycle. It is capable of generating a maximum power figure of whopping 180HP. The dry weight of the motorcycle stands at 180kgs while the top speed has not yet been revealed by the brand. Article image The brand will be manufacturing only 100 units of the motorcycle at Brough Superior plant in Toulouse, France. The Aston Martin AMB 001 has been launched with a hefty price tag of 108,000 Euros (INR 94 lakhs, approximate, direct conversion).
