The fans of James Bond, his cars, all cars, and the Lego world should prepare for getting a small amount out of their pockets for another collectible. Lego has brought a 1:8 scale model of the iconic Aston Martin DB5 which was seen driven by James Bond, in the 1964 movie Goldfinger. It was one of the most iconic roles played by actor Sean Connery and the movie was the third installment of the franchise featuring the British Spy. Article imageThe Lego version of the car has been made out of 1290 parts and it is being sold out of the Lego stores in the UK, complete with all the original gadgets and weapons that Q had bestowed upon the car for James Bond. The car has all the tailor-added options like the ejector seat and the flipping number plates. The front wings of the car also feature the machine guns that were featured in the movie. Minute details were also kept in mind while making the Lego version. The hidden telephone, radar tracker, and wheel-mounted tyre scythes are also there on the small car. Article imageThe model is finished in Silver Birch, and also has silver wire rims on the wheels, just like Bond’s car in Goldfinger. The model also has a tiny replica of the 4.0-litre straight-six cylinder engine that powered the actual two-door car in the movie. The dimensions of the model are 10 cm high and 34 cm long, and Lego has rated it as an expert level model. This means that the model is among the toughest ones to build. The company has described it as a “challenging and rewarding build experience full of nostalgia” that can serve as an addition to the collectible items from the franchise. Currently, the model is being sold exclusively in the Lego Stores across the United Kingdom for a steep price of £129.99 (around Rs 11,700). The availability of the model in India is still uncertain.
