Aston Martin is going to step into the SUV segment with their all-new Varekai. Aston Martin first revealed the concept for the SUV to the world at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and nicknamed it, the DBX. The final design of the SUV has been signed off at last. It was a two-door concept but the expectations are that the design will take a rather conservative route with four doors and a coupe-style roof. However, some reports suggest that the coupe-styled roof will be done away on the production car and will be replaced with a raked roof-line.

There are reports which tell us that the final design has been shown at a private gathering to the Aston Martin aficionados and the first few customers of the Varekai. This design will be the one that will go into the final production. Since the design has now been finalized, it is expected that the Varekai will soon be spotted during testing, albeit under a thick camouflage, by the end of 2018. It will give us a vague idea about the design that we will soon see on the roads. There are hopes that the leaks of the design will soon feature on the internet to provide us with the details of the Varekai.
Initially, it was pitched that the Varekai would be an all-electric SUV. But the reports now suggest that the latest Aston Martin would draw its power from petrol. The engines will be available in two configurations, a V8 and a V12. It is quite obvious that this premium super SUV will have a four-wheel drive-train and steering system. A wide range of driver assist systems will also be featured on the Varekai, which the company will bring in a large volume. These will include adaptive suspension and electronic assists to help with the different terrains.
