Saturday, 14 January 2023 10:05 AM The KL Duel 125 is inspired by the Ducati Streetfighter, featuring a muscular body and an aggressive stance. It is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, which produces 11.8bhp and 10.6Nm of torque. The bike is equipped with a five-speed gearbox and gets a 14-litre fuel tank. It also gets a digital instrument console and a halogen headlamp. The KL Duel 125 will be competing against the KTM 125 Duke and Yamaha MT125 in the European markets. The KL Duel 125 is priced at €2,599 (Rs 2.31 lakh), making it more expensive than the KTM 125 Duke and Yamaha MT125.
Saturday, 14 January 2023 10:08 AM The new TFT colour display has been enhanced with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling riders to connect their smartphones to the motorcycle via Yamaha’s My Ride app. It is five inches tall for both the MT-07 and MT-125 models, giving the rider a clear view of the display. Both models also come with the added safety features of ABS and traction control, making them even safer for riders of all levels. Yamaha has certainly taken the Hyper Naked range to the next level with the new MT-07 and MT-125 models.
Wednesday, 11 September 2024 03:18 PM Speculations about the launch of the Yamaha MT125 in India continue, with some sources suggesting it might not happen due to the markets preference for budget-friendly commuter bikes. The MT-125, with its 124.7cc single-cylinder engine and advanced features like VVA and a six-speed gearbox, would be a strong contender if it were to be launched. I believe Yamaha should consider the growing demand for premium bikes in India and reassess their strategy.
Thursday, 23 March 2023 12:19 PM Despite the global debut of the 2023 Yamaha MT-125, along with the XSR125 and YZF-R125, at the Osaka International Motor Show, there is no clear indication of these models being launched in India. These bikes share the same 125cc single-cylinder engine producing 15 PS and 11.5 Nm of torque, but the Indian market seems to favor budget commuter motorcycles over premium 125cc bikes. I believe this segment has potential, but it needs more market traction.
Wednesday, 22 March 2023 01:04 PM The Yamaha MT125 Special Edition, recently unveiled at the Osaka Motorcycle Show 2023, is expected to be available in the Indian market, although no official launch date has been confirmed. This special edition features a range of accessories, including a short and wide windscreen, blue-colored adjustable levers, an aluminum crankcase cover, and an Akrapovic exhaust with a carbon-fibre tip. I think these additions will make the MT125 quite appealing to enthusiasts looking for a premium 125cc bike.
Wednesday, 22 March 2023 06:58 AM The 2023 Yamaha MT-15, which is available in India, has received updates such as a traction control system, but there is still no word on the MT-125s launch. The MT-15s updates might be a hint at what could be expected if the MT-125 were to be introduced, but for now, it remains speculative. I think the inclusion of advanced safety features like traction control could make the MT-125 more attractive if it ever hits the Indian market.
Wednesday, 16 October 2019 02:49 PM The Yamaha MT-125, which was officially unveiled in the European market in 2019, is heavily based on the MT-15 sold in India but has several key differences, including inverted forks and dual-channel ABS. However, there has been no confirmation from Yamaha regarding its launch in India. I think the MT-125s features would be a great addition to the Indian market, but it seems unlikely for now.
