KTM Duke 300

About
The KTM Duke 390 is a 373cc single-cylinder motorcycle that packs a punch with its 43.5 PS of power and 0-100 kmh in just 6 seconds. The latest generation boasts several significant updates, including a new rear subframe, adjustable suspension, and multiple ride modes. The bikes Metzeler tyres provide exceptional grip, making it stable and fun to ride on various terrains. The TFT display and improved ergonomics add to the bikes usability, although the design may not appeal to everyone. With its capable chassis, WP suspension, and strong brakes, the Duke 390 is a dream to ride on country roads and ghats, offering unmatched fun and performance in its class. However, its low fuel tank range of 10 liters and the need for frequent fuel stops during long tours are notable drawbacks. Overall, the Duke 390 remains a top choice for performance enthusiasts in India.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The KTM Duke 390 is a powerhouse of a motorcycle that continues to set the benchmark in its segment. With its latest updates, it has become even more refined and usable, yet it retains the raw, exhilarating ride that KTM is known for. The bikes agility and handling are unparalleled, making it a joy to ride on both city streets and winding country roads. However, its not without its drawbacks the hard clutch and engine heating issues in heavy traffic can be a nuisance. Despite these, the Duke 390s performance, combined with its improved quality and attention to detail, make it a compelling choice for those seeking a high-performance naked bike.
Price
The 2024 KTM Duke 390 in India is priced competitively, with an ex-showroom price hovering around Rs 3.2 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh, depending on the region. On-road prices, including registration, insurance, and other costs, can range from Rs 3.8 lakh to Rs 4.2 lakh. While it may seem steep for some, the quality, performance, and features of the Duke 390 justify the cost. The attention to detail, improved materials, and the addition of adjustable suspension and multiple ride modes make it a solid investment for enthusiasts looking for a serious performance motorcycle.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 07:13 PM When it comes to mileage, the KTM Duke 390 is not the most frugal option. In city traffic, you can expect a mileage of around 16-18 kmpl, which can drop further in extreme conditions. On the highway, the mileage improves slightly, but it still remains around 25-30 kmpl. This is a trade-off for the high-performance engine, but its something to consider if running costs are a significant concern.

KTM RC390 is Value for Money

The bike has Got everything a rider wants. You can take it for touring and as well as for daily commute. The bike has so much power stored in it. Everyone is seeing its competition with ninja 300 and Yamaha r3 but if you see there prices are nearly double of it and they are twin cylinder bikes and this one is single cylinder bike . The heating problem is due to the single cylinder as the bike has too powerful engine with single cylinder but if you see the performance than this bike has got way too much than its rivals. If you want sporty looks with abs safety and high performance this one is for you.

Best Features: Console, Ride by Wire.

Pros: Ride By Wire, Abs , Brakes, Console, Looks, Build Quality, Power, and everything

Cons: Heating Problem and Mileage

Bike for the Real Rider

The KTM 390 Duke is a wonderful bike. It delivers an awesome riding experience and it takes no time at going higher speeds. The handling is quite good but it takes me some time to get used to it. On the clear roads there are no any engine issues but in the case of traffic jam, it heats up pretty quick. One more thing which goes against the bike is its horn and headlight. I would recommend to change the headlights and increase the horn intensity so that you stay safe.

Best Features: Ease in Handling and Looks

Pros: Appearance, Easy gear shifting, Handling

Cons: Weak horn & headlights, Lack of storage for kit/papers, Engine heating

A Street Bike Designed For Paved Roads

The KTM 390 Duke is a beast of motorcycle. It is light weight and you can handle it comfortably. The most important thing is that it generates a good torque value which makes your journey enjoyable on streets and safe om highways. Look wise it is quite attractive which will definitely encourage you to buy it. It has a great engine which offers more power in comparison to other beginner bikes. The braking system is quite impressive which is the standout feature of this bike. Coming to the downside, you will notice that the fuel tank capacity is quite low where cannot expect long tours. The clutch is too heavy and the quality of wheels are also not good. On the other hand, the throttle response of this machine is rough, especially at low rev ranges. The another issue with this bike is engine oil which sometimes starts leaking which reduces the oil level.

Best Features: Excellent Brakes & Eye Catching Looks

Pros: Eye catching looks, powerful engine, excellent brakes, light weight

Cons: Low fuel tank capacity, heavy clutch, rough throttle, bad wheel quality, engine oil problem
