Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Electric Wave scooter is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and user experience. On the positive side, it is an eco-friendly option with minimal running costs, which is a significant advantage for daily commuters. The scooter features a sleek and elegant design, including a sharp headlamp section and pointed turn blinkers, which enhance its aesthetic appeal. However, several users have reported issues with the quality of materials, frequent failures of the accelerator and other mechanical components, and poor after-sales service. The scooters performance is decent for short to medium-distance commutes, but it falls short in terms of comfort and reliability for longer rides. Overall, while it has its strengths, the Hero Electric Wave needs significant improvements in build quality, customer support, and overall reliability to make it a compelling choice for potential buyers.
Price
The Hero Electric Wave scooter, although discontinued since March 2018, was priced competitively during its time. The ex-showroom price ranged from Rs. 39,390 to Rs. 42,690, depending on the variant. On-road prices would have been slightly higher, typically adding around Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000 for registration, insurance, and other costs, bringing the total to approximately Rs. 41,390 to Rs. 47,690. Given its pricing, the scooter was aimed at budget-conscious buyers looking for an affordable, eco-friendly commuting solution. However, the discontinuation of the model means that buyers would need to consider other available options in the market.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 11:55 PM
The Hero Electric Wave scooter is designed to offer a decent range for daily commutes. With a fully charged 20Ah battery, it can cover up to 70 kilometers, which is suitable for short to medium-distance rides. However, real-world mileage can vary based on usage patterns, road conditions, and the use of accessories like the headlight. Generally, it provides a reliable range for those who need to travel short distances regularly, making it a viable option for those concerned about mileage and running costs.

User Reviews for Hero Electric Wave
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
The scooter appears to be ideal for me. It is lightweight and has great fuel efficiency. The scooter has an attractive look, but its speed is slow. The scooter requires minimal maintenance and is eco-friendly, but its range is poor. I would argue that the scooter is overpriced.
The bike has attractive looks and boasts good mileage, yet it's lack of speed undermines its other positive features. Additionally, its eco-friendly features and low maintenance cost are great, but these benefits come with a hefty price tag. Overall, I'm not pleased with this bike.
I'm in full agreement with everyone here that the scooter is a great alternative to bikes. It runs on electricity, is incredibly quiet, and has a comfortable seat for up to two people. It has an impressive range of 70kmpl per charge, which makes it great for those wanting to hone their riding skills or for everyday commuting. I highly recommend it!
