Bajaj has launched the most affordable 125cc bike in India, the CT125X. It’s priced at Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi) and available in three paint schemes: Green and Black, Red and Black as well as Blue and Black. The Bajaj CT125X looks similar to the CT110X. It gets a round headlight with bulb illumination. Above it is a small cowl with an LED strip integrated within. The bodywork is minimal and purposeful like a proper commuter should have.

The Bajaj CT 125X has been making waves in the Indian market with its recent launch, offering a robust 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.7bhp and 11Nm of torque. This bike is designed to handle rough roads with ease, featuring a semi-double-cradle frame, telescopic front forks, and twin rear springs. I think this rugged build and decent power output make it a strong contender in the commuter segment.

Bajaj has priced the CT 125X competitively, with the drum brake variant starting at Rs 74,016 and the disc brake variant at Rs 77,216. This pricing strategy positions the CT 125X as the most affordable 125cc bike in India, making it an attractive option for those looking to upgrade from a 110cc bike. I believe this pricing will help Bajaj capture a significant share of the commuter bike market.

The Bajaj CT 125X features several practical and safety-oriented features, including a combined braking system (CBS), a V-shaped LED DRL, and a halogen headlight. It also comes with an analogue instrument cluster and a USB charger, which is a handy feature for frequent riders. I think these features enhance the overall riding experience and safety of the bike.

In terms of design, the CT 125X retains much of the styling from its predecessor, the CT 110X, but with some notable upgrades such as rubber tank pads, an engine bash plate, and fork gaiters. The bike is available in three dual-tone paint schemes, giving it a rugged yet stylish look. I believe the design strikes a good balance between ruggedness and commuter comfort.

The Bajaj CT 125X has been tested for its fuel economy, with owners reporting an average mileage of around 60 kmpl, which is quite impressive for a 125cc bike. The bike also features an 11-liter fuel tank, which is larger than many of its segment rivals. I think this fuel efficiency and larger fuel tank make it a great option for daily commuters.
