Very good scooter for city ride

Summary

Good design & good performance
After purchase, the wet battery failed. I changed to a dry battery with an off /on switch. It is feature laden vehicle.

Bajaj Kristal is an entry level scooter that comes with 94.8cc, single cylinder engine producing 7.21 BHP at 7500 rpm and 7.66 Nm at 5500 rpm. The automatic gearbox was one of the best at its time, helping the scooter reach 80 kmph of top speed. It weighs just 99 kg and returned a mileage of around 50 kmpl. It came with 110 mm drum brakes and used 10 inch wheels for both the ends. Bajaj Kristal competes against TVS Scooty and Suzuki Lets in its segment. This was the last product in the scooter segment from Bajaj Auto.
