TVS Apache RTR 250 Review

05 Nov, 2015 02:11 PM

Apache series has always been into performance and with the highly expected RTR 250, the series will touch a new milestone in Indian performance biking sector. The Apache RTR 250 is expected with the same engine which was used in the concept TVS Draken. The engine will be race inspired and would perform really very well, both on and off track. It is a 249.2 cc race-inspired engine, producing a 38.5 BHP @ 12000 rpm and 23 NM @ 9500 rpm. The figures differentiate it from the existing 250 cc segment, challenging those in the 400 cc segment.

The concept Draken has not yet been confirmed for a production process, but the engine developed with a short stroke can be a turning point on the TVS sales chart, making it a best seller for the performance lovers. The expected tire sizes are huge being 120 and 160 for the front and back respectively, which may change to 110 and 140 for the production version. The styling seems to be naked and the segment ruler KTM Duke 200 will face a really tough competition from the newcomer.

The price has been expected to be a figure around INR 1,45,000 and if it comes out to be true, it will surely rock. The quality of TVS products is really impressive and if the trend continues, the new RTR 250 will make its place easily among the others. It is expected to be a colourful offering with shades like Black, Grey, White and Yellow.
