Royal Enfield to Improve Quality

Royal Enfield is planning to put up a new plant near Chennai which will be operational by next year. This will increase the production to 1.5 lakh units (though the capacity is 3 Lakh) and quality of products is also expected to rise. The company is getting conscious on improving the product quality by dealing only with those suppliers who provide best material. Old factory will produce 350cc and 500cc engines and will also build and assemble motorcycles. Plant will also include a world class paint shop.

Training for staff and new processes has started along with provisions for improved conditions for workers. Female workers and improvement team will also join the company due to changing image of Royal Enfield. The company will further expand its network to potential market like Europe and developing markets like Latin America, South East Asia, West Asia and Africa.
