The KTM Duke 200 street fighter sports bike has been launched in Philippines. The motorcycle is built in India, at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan manufacturing plant at Pune and exported to the Philippines. The motorcycle is priced at 195,000 Philippine Pesos, which converts to INR 2.61 lakhs. The rate of the Duke 200 sold in the Philippines is double the price at which this motorcycle is sold in India. Incidentally, India is the market where the Duke 200 comes with the least price in the world. This is due to heavy amount of localization and local production of the Duke 200 in India. The Duke 200 is powered by a 200cc liquid cooled engine that features a 4 valve-DOHC head.

The engine outputs peak power of 25 Bhp and a peak torque of 19 Nm. The engine is mated to a six speed close ratio gearbox and is known for its explosive power delivery and a throaty growl that is very distinctive to KTM motorcycles. The KTM Duke 200 weighs just 136 kg and comes with WP upside down front forks while a monoshock unit makes for the rear suspension. The Duke 200 is sold as an entry level motorcycle in many European countries.
