Hero Starts Exporting Bikes to Latin America

Since splitting from the Hero Honda joint venture Hero MotoCorp has started looking towards International market for its growth. The first stop for world’s largest 2-wheeler maker in terms of volume is Latin America. In fact they had just shipped its first consignment to three Latin countries El Salvador, Guatemala and the Honduras.

Eventually Hero MotoCorp aims to start export to least 30 countries across the world that includes South America, Africa and South East Asia. They are also planning to set up assembly units in these countries. Hero’s motorcycles are known to be reliable and highly fuel efficient. To develop new engine technology for its next generation motorcycles Hero has also tied up with a host of technology providers like Ricardo, Erik Buell Racing and AVL Austria.
