Hero Starts Construction of New Plant in Rajasthan

Today on Jan 15, 2013 Indian Two-wheeler major Hero Moto Corp has laid the foundation stone of its fourth motorcycle and scooter production plant. Hero has started the construction of new plant at Neemrana, Rajasthan. The 750,000 unit annual capacity plant will come up in over 47 acres and will be a source of employment for over 1000 people. Along with the manufacturing plant Hero will also set up a high-tech global parts centre.

This facility employing 400 people will come up with automated storage, packaging, sorting, retrieval and online warehouse management systems. This new center will span over 35 acres of land. Hero Moto Corp will investment INR 550 crore in both these ventures and both these are facilities set to go operational by 2014.
