Upcoming: 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 Homologated Before Launch

Motorcycles from Bajaj Auto are produced for several foreign manufacturers, such as Triumph, Husqvarna, and KTM. Recently, Husqvarna made headlines with the launch of the 2024 Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 250. Now, the brand is set to introduce a new model, the Svartpilen 250.

2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 Incoming

Earlier this year, Husqvarna launched the 401 version of its Black Arrow (Svartpilen) and the 250 version of its Silver Arrow (Vitpilen). At that time, there was no Vitpilen 401 or Svartpilen 250, likely to maintain a distinct association between displacement categories and design DNA.

While there won't be a Vitpilen 401 launch, keeping the Roadster-styled Vitpilen limited to the smaller 250cc segment, the Svartpilen is expected to be available in both 401 and 250 segments. The Svartpilen 250 has recently been homologated, following the launch of the Svartpilen 401.

Changes Expected with Husqvarna's Black Arrow

The Svartpilen 250 is expected to have a slight retune in its engine, with peak power coming in at 9,250 RPM, as opposed to the 9,500 RPM of the Vitpilen 250 and this adjustment suits the respective character and styling genres. The engine, a 249.07 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V unit, is likely to be carried over, producing 30.57 bhp peak power and 25 Nm peak torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch.

In terms of components, the Svartpilen 250 will share non-adjustable USD telescopic front forks and a single-sided rear mono-shock with the Vitpilen 250. The wheels are expected to be wire-spoke with tube-type dual-sport tires, possibly Pirelli Scorpions.

The new Svartpilen 250 will have more room in the rear section (no more factory tail tidy), a larger headlamp cowl, a more comfortable seat, and a larger fuel tank than the previous model. The color scheme will likely be a sole matte black shade with neon highlights.

In the 250cc class, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is set to provide a distinctive and adaptable motorcycling experience for riders seeking a unique blend of style and performance.
