The SUV, still under heavy camouflage, reveals certain design elements like the distinctive split headlights, which feature multi-function LED DRLs that double as turn indicators. These are positioned in the upper section of the front. A characteristic sleek butterfly grille adorns the front, coupled with a larger air dam sporting a honeycomb pattern at the lower bumper. Additionally, the car is visible with black wheel covers, suggesting that this is maybe one of the simpler models. Additionally, wraparound LED taillights are visible adding to the modern aesthetic of the SUV.

Interior Glimpses

While the recent spy shots do not provide a thorough view inside the cabin, they do offer a sneak peek at the dashboard, which includes a touchscreen that appears to be a 10-inch unit. The steering wheel design is reminiscent of the one found in the Skoda Kushaq, suggesting a similar layout and feel.

Expected Features

The new Skoda SUV is anticipated to come equipped with several high-end features such as ventilated front seats, a digital driver’s display, a sunroof, and cruise control. Safety features are expected to be robust, including up to six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrain Specifications

It is speculated that the SUV will be powered by the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine currently used in the Skoda Kushaq, which delivers 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. Prospective buyers can expect a choice between 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions

Pricing and Competition

Projected to launch by March 2025, the Skoda sub-4m SUV is expected to have a starting price of around Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This new entrant will compete with established players in the segment like the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. It will also challenge the newly launched or upcoming models like the Mahindra XUV300 (rebadged as Mahindra XUV 3XO), Maruti Fronx, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, carving out its niche in the bustling sub-4 meter SUV and crossover market in India.
