Kawasaki enthusiasts in India have something to look forward to, with the anticipated launch of the new Ninja 500 around March-April 2024. This model, unveiled at last year's EICMA, is poised to replace the Ninja 400 in the Indian market.

Powerful Performance with a New Engine

One of the most significant upgrades in the Ninja 500 is its all-new 451cc, parallel-twin engine and this beast generates incredible results with 45.4 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Compared to its predecessor this engine promises improved performance and a more flexible torque distribution when paired with a six-speed gearbox and outfitted with an assist and slip clutch.

Striking Design and Enhanced Aesthetics

The Ninja 500 sports a fresh, more aggressive design that is sure to turn heads on the roads. With elegant twin-LED headlights and a layered fairing design this vehicle radiates sportiness while being sophisticated. The narrow tail section, rising upwards from the mid-section, adds to its aerodynamic appeal. Available in the striking Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) colors, the Ninja 500 boasts a captivating presence.

Advanced Chassis and Handling

Built on a robust steel trellis frame, the Ninja 500 ensures superior stability and handling. Riding on it is both pleasant and controlled because of its mono-shock at the back and traditional telescopic fork up front. Fitted with Dunlop Sportmax tires on 17-inch wheels the bike provides exceptional handling and traction. Furthermore, standard equipment includes dual-channel ABS which improves braking safety.

Feature-Rich and Connected

The Ninja 500 comes packed with a host of features to enhance the overall riding experience. All LED lights illuminate the road ahead, while the instrument cluster offers phone connectivity via a dedicated app. The standard variant includes an LCD, while the SE variant boasts a vibrant color TFT display providing riders with essential information at a glance.

Expected Pricing and Availability

While the exact pricing details are yet to be confirmed, industry experts anticipate the Ninja 500 to be priced between Rs. 5.2 lakh to Rs. 5.4 lakh if imported via the CBU route. However, opting for the CKD route could result in a more competitive price tag making this powerful and stylish motorcycle accessible to a wider range of enthusiasts in India.
