It’s no Gold Wing, but the FZ-10 is more comfortable than it looks. The problem is the small tank, you’ll be stopping for gas all too often on a long tour.

I tour on mine all the time. The important thing is to build your stamina. It's not the most comfortable bike out there, but it's so much fun you forget about the little stuff.

It's terrible for touring. At highway speeds the vibrations will numb your hands and the aggressive riding position grows old real quick. If touring is your priority, there are much better options.

It depends on your size, I think. I’m 6’2? and for long rides, the FZ10 is pretty comfortable. On long trips, it may be a reach to the bars for smaller riders.

Akrapovic all the way. It's expensive, yes, but the sound is what it should be, deep and throaty without being annoying. But the titanium also saves a ton of weight.

The Yoshimura R77 is one I like. It sounds great, provides decent performance gains and it's cheaper than some of the premium options. You can't go wrong with Yoshi quality.

I would honestly say the stock exhaust with the baffle removed sounds pretty good. You'll feel the difference with suspension upgrades or better tires - save your money for those.

Whatever you get, be sure to buy a good fuel controller like a Power Commander. If you don't tune your engine properly, you're wasting performance, and you're risking damaging the engine.

I'm running the M4 exhaust and could not be happier. It didn't break the bank, it had great sound, and it was noticeable that it saved weight. It’s also not as common as some of the other brands, so you’ll stand out a little more.

Unpopular opinion: keep it stock. That crossplane engine already sounds great in the FZ-10, and you don’t have to worry about running into any warranty stuff or legal stuff with noise regulations.

In 2025, the best thing about the FZ6R is that it has no electronics. Not a complicated system to fail, simply pure analog riding. It's refreshing.

It's a major drawback. Modern electronics make bikes easier and safer to ride at the limit. The FZ6R is dangerous in comparison.

I love the simplicity. Instead, you actually have to learn to ride properly, instead of relying on electronics to save you. In the long run, it makes you a better rider.

In 2025, if you don’t have at least traction control and cornering ABS it’s just irresponsible. It’s behind the times and the FZ6R shows it.

It's a double-edged sword. You sacrifice some safety features, but you also don't have to put up with software updates and electronic gremlins all the time.
