Yamaha FZS comes with a hydraulic disc brake. This type of braking system helps slowing down the vehicle by generating braking torque by the pressure mechanism of the oil. With the lever being pressed, the pressure generated pushes the calipers into the brake pads, generating friction and resulting in a better braking mechanism. The advantages of this system includes faster cooling and efficient braking, with lesser wear and tear of the components. The FZS comes with a single front disc brake whereas the rear is managed by a drum brake only. It comes with a price tag of INR 81,580.
