It lost the sound and smell, but gained in reliability. I'm willing to make that trade off.

The character of the original Chetak can't be replaced with anything. The 4 stroke is too modern for its own good.

I think they did okay. There were too many changes to alienate the loyal Chetak fans.

Bajaj played it too safe. It would have been perfect with a bit more power and some digital features.

If only they had improved the suspension more. Without changing the look, that would've made a huge difference.

With the technology available then, I think Bajaj did what they could. Hindsight is always 20/20.

No way, man. The original is just a shadow of the 4 stroke Chetak. It was half the charm of that iconic 2 stroke sound!

I actually think the 4 stroke is better. It is more efficient and it doesn't smoke like a chimney. Progress is good, folks.

Both have their merits. The nostalgia of the 2-stroke is hard to ignore, but the 4-stroke is more practical on a day to day basis. Can't we appreciate both?

I own both and I'd say the 4 stroke gets underrated. This keeps the classic look but rides so much smoother.

No, the 4 stroke does not need the tilt. Without all that drama it starts up just fine.
