Discussions and Questions Amo Mobility Jaunty - Page 2

How does the Amo Mobility Jaunty i Pro compare to the rental scooters like Bird and Lime?
17 January 2025 08:38
I moved from Bird to owning a Jaunty i Pro, and it’s been a game changer. There’s no more hunting for available scooters or dead batteries. It’s also cheap, and if you ride often, it pays for itself pretty quickly.
Can I swap the Amo Mobility Jaunty i Pro’s battery for extended range?
17 January 2025 08:38
The fixed battery encourages better trip planning. Through this, I’ve learned how to optimize my routes and my charging schedule, and it’s actually turned me into a more efficient rider.
If you are a city commuter, is the Amo Mobility Jaunty i Pro really worth the hype?
17 January 2025 08:38
I also love the fact that it is emission free, being an eco-conscious rider. Yes, there are fancier options out there, but the Jaunty i Pro doesn’t break the bank and does the job. This is a step towards sustainable urban transport.
We put the Amo Mobility Jaunty i Pro to the test in wet conditions to see how it performs.

Once I got caught in a heavy storm and it was terrifying. I nearly skidded out a few times, and the brakes just felt they were less responsive. Not recommended for heavy rain, definitely.
Can the Amo Mobility Jaunty i Pro get up steep hills?
17 January 2025 08:38
It's all about technique. It does much better if you build up some speed before hitting a hill. It's made a big difference, because I've learned to anticipate inclines.
How does Amo Jaunty perform in wet weather?
17 January 2025 07:54
I’m honest, I don’t like to ride in heavy rain. I'm nervous on slippery roads with the small wheels of the Jaunty and concerned about water damaging the battery. I use alternative transport in downpours, but it’s fine for light drizzle.
As the battery of the Amo Jaunty degrades over time, how does the performance of the Amo Jaunty change?
17 January 2025 07:54
A lot depends on how you treat the battery, I think. I’m religious about not letting it drop below 20% and never fully charging it, and my 2 year old Jaunty still runs great. This makes a huge difference in proper battery care.
The Amo Jaunty vs traditional gas scooters regarding long term cost?
17 January 2025 07:54
I don't believe the savings are all that much. Sure, it's cheaper to charge than to run on gas, but the Jaunty's range is limited, so you might have to charge up more often. Good luck finding affordable parts if something breaks, out of warranty. With gas scooters, at least, there are repair shops everywhere.
Can the Amo Jaunty manage grocery runs and other errands with cargo space?
17 January 2025 07:54
Out of the box the Jaunty's storage is pretty limited. Under the seat is a small compartment that only just accommodates my helmet. That helps a ton for groceries, and I added a rear rack as well. But you just have to be careful not to overload it.
Is the Amo Jaunty all the hype it’s cracked up to be for daily commuting?
17 January 2025 07:54
I've ridden the Jaunty for my 10km commute for the past 3 months and generally I'm pretty happy with it. While it’s enough to get me to and from work on one charge with a few deviations, it’s not enough to be my sole means of transportation. It does ok on small hills. For the price point, the ride is smoother than I thought it’d be. The only thing about it that I don't like is the slightly flimsy feeling plastic body panels.
