Many urban riders, on varied terrain, need hill climbing ability. The Jaunty i Pro has a good motor, but can it handle a steep hill? On moderate slopes, some users rave about its surprising power, while others complain of significant slowdown, or even stalling on steeper hills. Battery life is also up for debate, with fears that the battery will drain quickly on uphill rides. For those who live in hilly areas, the scooter’s performance on inclines is what will make or break their daily commute experience. Can it take on urban hills, or does it fail when the road begins to rise? Now let’s see how riders fare in real world with different gradients on the Jaunty i Pro.

Pro tip: Zigzagging up steeper hills help a lot. It’s slower, but the Jaunty i Pro can do it far better than going straight up.

I’ve found the hills to be better than some other budget e scooters I’ve tried. It won't win any hill climb competitions, but for normal urban inclines it's fine.

It definitely struggles with me on hills and I’m a heavier rider. If you’re lighter, you might have better luck, but anything too steep is a no go for me.

Hill performance is decent but it absolutely murders battery life. On long uphill stretches I can practically watch the charge meter drop.

It's all about technique. It does much better if you build up some speed before hitting a hill. It's made a big difference, because I've learned to anticipate inclines.

If you live somewhere that has San Francisco level hills, forget about it. It can only manage a gentle slope. On steeper streets, I have to kick push to help it along.

The Jaunty i Pro handles most slopes like a champ as I live in a pretty hilly area. It does stall on really steep inclines, but it's never completely stalled on me.
