Even the brand hasn't released any engine specifications for Hyundai i40 sedan, but according to rumors it can come equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine and will be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission gear box. An automatic gearbox is also expected in the i40 sedan. The car is also expected to be launched with a petrol engine as well that could be 1.6-litre mill of the Hyundai Verna or the 1.8-litre mill in the Hyundai Elantra sedan.
