What is the launch date of Maruti Jimny?

Maruti Jimny has no current launch plans for India. The car is available in many of the neighboring countries but the Indian subcontinent has the alternate in the form of Maruti Gypsy King. The Jimny comes with a 1328 cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 84 BHP @ 6000 rpm and 110 NM @ 4100 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Returning a 12 kmpl mileage, the car sprints upto 135 kmph. It is equipped with a 40 liter fuel tank. Indian automobile market has Gypsy King with nearly the same power figures and a matching design. The compact SUV structure of the car makes it suitable for many terrains and the high performance petrol engines make it quick and responsive, resulting in lesser mileage than the other cars in the segment.
