USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Volkswagen Polo 1.6 is a standout in the hatchback segment, particularly for enthusiasts who crave performance without compromising on everyday usability. The 1.6-liter engine delivers a potent 100bhp, making it the fastest hatchback in India at the time of its release, with a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 11.1 seconds. The cars handling is razor-sharp, and the steering provides excellent feedback, although the tyres could be wider to match the cars performance capabilities. Despite some minor drawbacks, such as the engine cutting off at 5900 RPM and slightly inadequate tyres, the Polo 1.6 offers tremendous value for its price, making it a compelling choice for those who prioritize performance and driving dynamics.
Price
In India, the Volkswagen Polo 1.6 was priced competitively, especially considering the extra excise duty applicable to cars with engines over 1600cc. The ex-showroom price for the Polo 1.6 Highline in Mumbai was around Rs. 6.93 lakhs, but the on-road price came to approximately Rs. 7,10,660. This pricing made the Polo 1.6 a strong contender in its segment, offering significant performance upgrades over the 1.2-liter variant for just an additional Rs. 18,000. Even when compared to other cars in the B2 segment and some C2 sedans, the Polo 1.6 held its ground, though it was one of the more expensive options in its class.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 04:47 PM The Volkswagen Polo 1.6 offers decent fuel efficiency, considering its performance-oriented nature. Under mixed driving conditions, you can expect around 11 kmpl, with city mileage hovering around 10 kmpl and highway mileage reaching up to 12 kmpl. These figures are respectable, especially given the cars powerful engine and the fact that it is designed more for enthusiasts than for pure fuel efficiency.

Problem in VW Polo engine fan motor noise more even changed new. Paint quality is poor when white tape is sticked two days paint also comes together. Radiator cooling capacity is very less. Lower arm suspension are very weak need to adjust every 35,000 kms. Coolant liquid ducks more. Engine heating is more. Ecm problem makes all electric faults some times. Fuse kits are annual inspection required. Ground clearance need to improve height and under body quality need to increase. Mileage is around 14-16 maximum.

Best Features: Performance and Smoothness. Everything Ok

Pros: Body built quality good. Design and features performance efficiency pickup stylish high grade luxurious car. Loved it more

Cons: Seating groom space is less. Top sunroofs need to provide arm rest and rear Ac vents need to provide. It's sensor based. So all sensor parts must be covered with box. It keep safer sensors.
