Toyota has officially discontinued the Toyota Etios Platinum LE Diesel in India, marking the end of an era for this sedan. The last ex-showroom price for this model was Rs. 8.94 lakh. I believe this move is a strategic decision to focus on other models that are more competitive in the current market.

The Toyota Etios Platinum LE Diesel has undergone significant improvements, including addressing higher NVH levels and vibrations in the diesel engine. Toyota also introduced a new gearbox, tweaked clutch, and improved suspension to enhance the driving experience. I think these updates were crucial to keep the Etios competitive, even if it was for a short while.
