Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata TL Crew Cab 4x4 is a robust and practical vehicle that caters to those who prioritize functionality over aesthetics. While it may not impress with its interior design or build quality, its exterior is sturdy and well-suited for rugged use. The vehicle features a 2.0-litre intercooled turbodiesel engine, producing 89bhp and 140lb-ft of torque, which is adequate for its intended use. However, the interior feels cheap and tacky, with flimsy door panels and limited legroom for taller drivers. Despite these drawbacks, the TL 4x4 excels in its load-carrying capabilities, with a strong tailgate and ample load-lashing eyes. For buyers who need a reliable workhorse rather than a stylish ride, the Tata TL Crew Cab 4x4 is a viable option.
Price
In India, the Tata TL Crew Cab 4x4 was priced competitively, although exact current prices may vary due to market fluctuations and regional differences. Historically, the Tata Xenon, a similar model, was priced around Rs. 8,58,222 for the EX 4x4 variant. For the TL Crew Cab 4x4, you can expect an ex-showroom price in the range of Rs. 7-9 lakhs, depending on the location and any additional features. On-road prices would include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, potentially pushing the total to around Rs. 9-11 lakhs. This pricing makes it an attractive option for those seeking a practical and affordable 4x4 pickup truck.

The mileage of the Tata TL Crew Cab 4x4 is reasonable given its diesel engine and 4x4 capabilities. You can expect an average fuel efficiency of around 10-12 kml in mixed driving conditions. This is decent for a vehicle of its size and purpose, especially when considering its payload capacity and off-road capabilities. Tata TL Crew Cab 4x4 Discussion
TATA's should launch a 3 & 5 door mini Sierra with sub 4 meter length. the choice of engines should be 1.4 Dicor, 1.3 Multijet diesels & a 1.2 petrol engine. the vehicle should be available in host of trims and specifications to cater to different categories. For e.g we can have a model with basic features and leaf spring suspension for rural areas, and another model with all bells & whistles and independent suspensions for urban areas. 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive can be another option. if executed properly this model will sell more than all the other TATA vehicles combined.
When TATA will re-launch TATA Siera? Mahindra Xylo and Maruti Jmini is coming up with their mini SUVs. Its too late for TATA to think about Siera's re-launching. But if they re-launch Siera that will sell better than Safari.
