Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Indigo eCS GLX CNG, while showing its age, still offers a compelling package for those seeking a practical and economical vehicle. The cars fuel-efficient CNG engine, with an ARAI-certified mileage of 24.6 kmkg, is a significant draw for budget-conscious buyers. However, it lacks modern safety features, such as airbags, and its design feels outdated. The ride quality is comfortable, especially at low speeds, and the suspension handles bad roads well. Despite its limitations, the Indigo eCS remains a viable option for those prioritizing space, practicality, and cost-effectiveness.
Price
The Tata Indigo eCS GLX CNG is priced competitively in the Indian market, with an ex-showroom price starting at around 5.34 lakh. When factoring in additional costs such as registration, insurance, and road tax, the on-road price can range from 6.5 to 7.5 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes it an attractive option for buyers looking for a budget-friendly sedan with decent features. However, its important to consider that the cars age and lack of modern amenities might affect its resale value.
