About
The Tata Indica Vista Diesel Terra TDi is built on a new platform, distinct from the older Indica models. It features a 1.4L turbocharged inter-cooled TDI engine, producing 71 bhp 4500 rpm and 135 Nm of torque 2500 rpm. The car is known for its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and improved suspension compared to its predecessors. The Terra trim, being the basic version, lacks some of the gizmos found in higher trims but still offers essential features like adjustable steering and a large glovebox. The exterior design is sleek, although some users have noted issues with panel gaps and the quality of interior plastics. The cars higher ride height and comfortable seating make it suitable for both city and highway driving. Despite some drawbacks, the Indica Vista Terra TDi remains a practical choice for those seeking a reliable and fuel-efficient diesel hatchback.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Tata Indica Vista Diesel Terra TDi is a mixed bag when it comes to overall performance and user experience. On the positive side, the 1.4L turbocharged inter-cooled TDI engine provides decent power and torque, making it suitable for daily driving. The ride height is slightly higher than its predecessors, which can be beneficial for navigating Indian roads. However, several drawbacks are notable. The interior plastics are of cheap quality, and panel gaps are often uneven, which affects the overall build quality. The speedometer and other dashboard instruments can be difficult to read, especially at night, due to the central placement and lack of backlighting. Despite these issues, the cars suspension is improved, and it offers a comfortable ride. For those looking for a budget-friendly diesel hatchback with good space, the Indica Vista Terra TDi could be a consideration, but it is essential to weigh these pros and cons carefully.
Price
The Tata Indica Vista Diesel Terra TDi was priced competitively in the Indian market. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around 4.26 lakhs. However, the on-road price, including additional costs such as registration, anti-rust coating, waxing, and extended warranty, could go up to approximately 4.6 lakhs. This pricing made it an attractive option for those seeking a diesel hatchback within a budget. Its important to note that prices may have varied slightly depending on the location and any local taxes or incentives. Despite being discontinued, the pricing strategy at the time of its sale positioned it as a value-for-money option in its segment.
